LOCATION: Oxnard, California
OWNER: P. Diacos
ADJUSTER: Schifrin, Gagnon & Dickey
SCOPE: Fire damage. Repair of a heavily damaged 1-
story unreinforced masonry wall, 1920's vintage

greatly assisted by the Adjuster on the case,
ensured a solution that was agreeable to the
Building Department and the Owner.
COMMERCIAL STREET FIRE DAMAGE
LOCATION: San Diego, California
INSURANCE CARRIER: Allied Insurance
SCOPE: Repair of a heavily damaged, 1-story structure of mixed construction types. The intensity of the fire, and the estimated temperatures,
brought into question the salvageability of the masonry walls and the concrete-encased steel beams. However, through material testing and
analysis, we were able to isolate the structural elements that needed to be replaced and salvage the majority of the structure. This greatly
assisted in a speedy recovery of business operations at a significantly reduced construction cost over what was initially estimated.
